  1. In 2015, an autonomous Delphi drove from San Francisco to New York City (15 states and 3400 miles) over the course of nine days. A driver was behind the wheel but the car apparently tackled 99 percent of the trip. [Mental Floss]
  2. Nissan is developing technology similar to that in NASA’s Mars rovers in which humans map out routes around obstacles when the rover can’t figure out what to do on its own. Other self-driving cars would then learn from these situations to improve their driving knowledge. [Motley Fool]
